Debit Card

When using your plastic cards at merchants, please consider the 'swipe and sign' option without a PIN number to save yourself time and hassle. Not only does the 'swipe and sign' option save you time, it saves us, your Credit Union, money in transaction fees.

In addition, the Signature-Based "credit" purchase limit is $1,000.00 per day and the PIN-Based "debit" purchase limit is $500.00 per day. These daily limits are in place to help reduce the risk of fraud and funds that may be withdrawn from your account. Please contact your branch if you need to temporarily use your card for higher purchase amounts.

Keep in mind that on point of sale machines that automatically bring up a screen asking for your PIN, you can still choose "credit" and sign to authorize your transaction (even though you will not actually be using credit; the money will still come out of your checking account).

If you misplace your Debit or ATM card, you can block your card through Online Banking. Log into Online Banking, click on the Settings tab and then click on the ATM/Debit Card tab. Select the card you want to block and click Submit at the bottom of the page.
NOTE: to order a new card you will need to contact Member Solutions at 417.865.3912 or info@mycucommunity.com.

You may also report lost or stolen cards by calling 417.865.3912.

SaveIt

Put money in your savings account while you shop with SaveIt, our automatic debit round-up program. Here’s how it works:

  • When making a purchase, use your CU Community Mastercard debit card.*
  • Your transaction will post to your account as the actual amount you spent. Then, each transaction will be rounded up to the nearest dollar and totaled. Each day that total will be transferred from your checking account into your SaveIt account. No minimum balance required.
  • The first month you're enrolled in the program we'll match 10% of your SaveIt account balance; then every quarter after we'll match 5% of transactions from that quarter, up to $250 annually. You must be enrolled in eStatements to receive the match portion.

*Please Note: you may select the "credit" or "debit" option, but additional charges may apply for a transaction processed as "debit".

Investments

Certificates of Deposit

Want more bang for your buck? Earn a greater return for your savings with a certificate of deposit. A CD is a short- to medium-term, NCUA-insured investment. By stashing away your money in a CD for a certain period of time, you will earn a higher level of interest than a standard savings account.

Individual Retirement Accounts

Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are a secure way to save for retirement. Whether you're just starting out, nearing retirement or switching to a new employer, we'll help you grow your money at a great rate.

We offer Traditional, Educational and Roth IRAs.

  • Earnings and deposits may be tax deferred or tax free, depending on which IRA you choose
  • IRAs are now insured by the NCUA up to $250,000
  • You can set up auto transfers from your accounts or payroll to make saving easy
  • Access to your account via free online and mobile banking to monitor your account 24/7

We also offer IRA CDs, which are just like a normal CD, but are set up as an IRA for tax purposes.
